Panamera Spec Question

I visited Leeds OPC and looked at a lovely Panamera they have in. I am keen on going for it....it does have what looks like a nice spec, but you guys tell me what you think...should I be looking for any other must have options, I am a little out of touch with the forum, haven't been on here for some time! Hence, haven't been keeping up with the latest gossip!

The links from OPC don't usually work, but it is the white car with 34k miles, going for £49k...

Looks like a good normal spec car which has everything you will need for day to day use. BOSE is a nice option to have so check what you think of the standard stereo and also check that it has Universal Audio Interface, I can't remember if that is standard or not.

And what is the purpose of sport chrono?

It certainly is a diesel! Isn't that how all Porsche should be?

Bit low spec to be honest, Bose is a must.

You can have my one for 46 500, it has a much better spec (bose, rear entertainment system with TV's in the rear, Sports chromo...) and 28k miles

They are very nice car's, probably the best in its class.

Hi, it is a very basic spec. Sports chrono doesn't make that much of a difference on the diesel IMO (even if the clock looks nice). I went for air suspension in both my Panameras and think it is well worth it and also looks better as the car sits lower.

Other additional spec I'd look for is the exterior package in gloss black and the new Turbo 20" rims, LEDs inside and out (outsides are a must - look much better even when switched off IMO)

Most important of all though is it a facelift with the 300bhp engine? My first one was a 250bhp, the difference to the later model is immense! Also you get PTV which I don't think you can get on the old diesel, which also makes a big difference, especially in winter!

Air suspension isnt a must have on these cars. Steel springs make it feel more planted imo and the ride/handlng balance even with 20" wheels is something to behold.

Spec looks a bit mean to me tho...needs full leather and a sunroof but its all personal.....which is what makes these cars great. Every car is different.

What do we mean by 'full' leather? Surely there aren't models with part leather seats?

Leather doors/dash and centre consul, smoother and better quality leather on seats.

In my view 20's require air suspension, ride can be choppy without, not good in a luxury car.

The 250bhp engine has also now been replaced by the 300bhp which is excellent and drives a lot smoother. The old engine does feel a bit underpowered.

Also worth checking if PCM has been upgraded to full postcode but not too expensive to do if not.

If you don't want a Diesel I have a lovely 4S for sale with 10,000 miles!

I would agree RE air suspension
PASM + Springs is no where near as good.
I've had Panameras with both.- and both on 20"s
I also had an issue with a knocking noise on the spring version - never got it totally resolved, and I know of others who have this problem too.
Spec is a bit poverty (!) - a lot of those 'options' you list are std across the range.
I also prefer the sport seats, but that is a personal preference (though all passengers who had been in both cars commented that the sports were better)
I did 650 miles last weekend in mine - hardly noticed the distance TBH - fantastic cars !

Its funny, I changed from a 5GT to the Panamera and my wife is short but finds it very uncountable as she is quite short and the headrests do not move down.
