GT3 deprecation

just wondered what opinions people have on expected depreciation for this:

immaculate white 997 GT3 Club Sport, 20,000 miles and £65k to buy today

Value in 2 years with 28000 miles on (assuming same condition & keeping up proper servicie schedule)?

Surely one of the lowest risk purchases you could make currently. It's certainly not going to drop like a stone; just do it.

50-55 id say depending weather you sell private of dealer.....great cars

Won't drop much, great cars, just do it and go and have some fun. Make sure to get a full inspection to avoid surprises, a few of these have lived a hard life.

First of all, get it inspected and get the rev ranges checked
Secondly, are you only planning on doing 4k a year in it?

I would only buy from a recognised dealer, and yes I reckon on about 4k miles pa as it's never used during the week, and that's about what I do in my C2S.

Seems like the agreed market price for 997.1 GT3's is £67k this week!

That's depressing, I sold mine for 52k only 7 months ago with 12k on the clock, although it was a comfort pussy model!

Amazing how well these have held up for a reasonably new car. I looked at a white Club Sport in 2009 at an OPC with 14k on the clock for 66k .... that would have been cheap motoring with the 2-year (?) service interval and 2-year OPC warranty included

I sold mine early October for £55k...still miss that car and regret selling it as given prices now I would have probably broken even!

Anyone buy the white CS from JZM (black wheels and wing mirrors) around October?

I'd prefer the comfort model as I'd like a GT3 but don't need the cage etc.

I was thinking exactly the same thing last year.

Ended up buying a 2007 clubsport with 19k miles for £60k, 2 year OPC warranty freshly serviced with new brakes and tyres. In my eyes that meant no surprises or servicing costs for 2 years. I can live with the cost of fuel, tyres, brakes and clutch if required as I consider these relative to how much I choose to use the car (if that makes sense!)

So far it has cost me nothing other than a replacement front splitter (now needs another!)I've had a couple of bits done under warranty completely hassle free.

I genuinely can't think of a better buy, I'm sure if I put mine up now SOR with one of the specialists I wouldn't have lost a penny!

Just do it, I promise you will not regret it

I've just paid more than that for a 12,000mile club sport , in white with exactly the spec I would have ordered new . I wasted 12 months waiting for the market to drop and to get a bargain . It didn't . I may have bought at the top of curve who knows . But i do know I love the car and even if the bubble does burst it's still hardly going to be mind blowing depreciation by any other car standards . Get it bought .

Same for me although mine is a 997.2 GT3 CS, thought I may have paid too much, but there has only been two for sale in the last 2 months and one is up at £93k!

I've read about a fair bit of GT3 deprecation on here, stuff like needing a £10k refresh whenever you buy one, being rubbish to drive on the road etc...

arguably no better place for your wonga if are after an exhilarating drive and have a phobia for depreciation.
