I was interested in installing front grills to the air intake at the front of the car to protect the radiators as they are wide open to stone damage. I found some good reviews of Zunsport grills and contacted them. As they did not have grills for the 991, I became the first 991 (C4S) donor car for them to take the mould and make the grills. So they now have grills for the 911 C4(S), but for other 991 variants they are still looking for donors.

So in February 2014 I took my car to the Zunsport shop to allow them to take the mould. Peter Langston is the owner and he is very nice and honest. He talked me through the manufacture process and showed me their workshop. It is a family business and they manufacture grills for Jaguar and many other brands.

A few weeks later Peter contacted me to let me know that the prototype grills are ready. I went to their shop again and they fitted the prototype to my car. You can see the picture and they look very nice. They fitted almost perfectly but being prototypes some minor adjustments are required. They came to my house to examine the grills and advised me that they will obtain new clips and make a new set of grills (off the final jig) and fit that to my car.

This is what I’m up to currently and I’ll write an update when the final grills are fitted to my car.

Overall it’s a very pleasant experience and it could be a good deal to get a free set of grills if you are close to Cannock Staffordshire.

NB: I’m not related to Zunsport in anyway. Just a happy customer.

It'd be great if they revised the 996 turbo grilles to fit under the bumper, rather than infront of the existing grills. The pics below look very max power rather than the some of the newer more discreet designs.

Yes those Zunsport grills on the 991 look a lot more discreet than those on the 996, which just look chavy (imho)!

The black colour makes a big difference. I had black Zunsport on my previous car but went the DIY, bumper off and fit from behind approach this time around.

I was talking to Peter about the 996 and 997 grills. He has thought about revising the grills to make them more discrete like the newer designs, but then he need cars as donors to do that!

My car was the donor car for the 987.2 PDK grilles and I would completely echo the comments in the above.
Nice setup at the company and genuinely nice guys all round.

I have literally just had them fitted to my 997.1tt I am very pleased with the appearance. I can also support the OP comments about Peter, an all round good egg in my opinion
