Pre-Purchase Inspections – Sheffield’ish

Having spent an hour or so searching through previous threads, I’m wondering if anyone knows any Inspection outfits or Independents who carry out inspections in the Sheffield area.
It’s for a 968 Sport, on which I’m told there’s noise from the cam department. Just basically want to know if the cams are knackered or it’s just a chain and tensioner’s required.

Dont know of any individual in Sheffield area.
Try www.sportscarguides.com I believe they offer a PPi service nationwide.
968 with top end noises = Lots of dosh usually.
Can be noisy cam follower/bucket which usually involves 16 x new ones. Or chain and cams are bu**ered [less likely]
Unless the car is really cheap it is usually not worth buying one to repair, as more neglected items surface and you find you have overcapitalised on the car.
