I'm going to break the trend here and disagree. No, I don't think that the 993 is anything but stunning, but I personally have a bit of bias (I'm not alone here then!!!) in having a fondness for the cabriolet, too. You may disagree, but a quick look at mine and I hope you'll agree it's no ugly duckling!
Whilst the 993 is a beautiful car (all 911's are). For me, the 996 with GT3 kit, 18in rims and 10-30mm lower suspension is simply the best looking 911 ever, the 996 C4s comes close. I prefer the non round headlights of the 996, especially the MKII

Unfortunately you have the ideal weather for a rag top. Most of the other protagonists here live in England. It rains here. A lot.
Great car!

Yeh, have to disagree with myself (?), maybe my thoughts have been tainted by the idea of a 4-speed tiptronic cabriolet, of which there seem to be so many!
Aa another 993 (Targa) owner, I'm bound to agree - I think they're gorgeous. As for which view is the best, I also tend to agree about the rear three-quarter view, though there's a shot on my profile that I think is even better. Not the one on the profile itself, but if you scroll to the bottom and look at the "Current car" pics, there's one taken from the OS rear and above, looking down on the car on the day I bought it. It's still my favourite shot. Much as I like all Porsches, the 993 has to be the best-looking!

IMHO Rear ... view ... is one of the best. Front and front 3/4 side view is not so good!
With personal bias running high in this thread I thought I'd show pictorially one of the reasons why I haven't put a 993tt on the driveway - the shape of my 965's rear end is just soooooo, er, purposeful
The other reason isn't obvious from static pics
