Thinking about this GT3 RS...

Interested in opinions on this one. Obviously prices have taken a hike lately. How overpriced do we think it is?

Also a bit worried about the condition of the ceramics as it could be a big bill later on.

Any input appreciated!

It looks a lovely car and will of course come with a 2 year warranty from the OPC. I know that prices have gone crazy on these over the last 6 months, but the prospect of paying £25k+ more than what you could have got one for this time last year, would make me seriously reconsider my options.

Wow, thats a good price.
I have a Gen 1 GT3 (non Rs)Apart from what it is i dont think there is much between them, so ive been told.If this is true £30k difference over what GT3,s are going for is a big hike.

Yet again i brought mine from Bristol porsche in November 2012 and what they are being advertised for now i could possible make £10k plus.

Don't think about it for too long mate or it'll be gone. Bank holiday weekend coming up, you should buy it today, haggle your best, collect it on friday and spend the long weekend enjoying it.

Its the premium / classic market as a whole.

I am trying to find a decent F355, when I started looking (January) they were 45-50k. Now they are 70k!
Really nice ones are touching 6 figures...

5 years ago they were changing hands for 30k in the trade...

That looks to be about 30k over priced in my opinion. The current price hikes etc. mean that right now, in my opinion it is one of the worst times to buy a car like this (prestige / high end used sports car). In this market, 20k off the asking would be a great deal, but would not insure you against a big drop later on.

Still a great car though.... If you are planning on buying a car and not selling it for the foreseeable future, then go for it, as you only lose money when / if you sell - man maths

Why would the value plummet if you use it? I have never understood this. Use it, say 5k pa and look after it and it will hold value just fine.

I'll only use it for approx. 2 or 3k miles per year, and so yes I guess it would be a garage queen.

I'm looking to get something really fun for weekend blasts but that could possibly keep my cash safe too. And that's the key point I guess as I wouldn't want to drop 30k on it. I would be looking to keep it for at least 3 years.

The car in question looks well looked after and is currently on 3 owners. The opc warranty helps with any reliability concerns too.

Just need that crystal ball to reassure where the value will go long term!

and imo about what it should be worth now, 100k is daft
base gen 2 GT3 is the better buy at 100k imo

For what you are looking for, there is a 360 CS in the classifieds for just under 100k which would be a safer bet, a Murcielago would be another good one too.

Whilst the CS prices have inflated with the rest, a good example will be worth 100k all day long, it was madness they dropped as low as they did.

Are there really any good ones for £100k now though? They look ok in the photos, then you see them and they're not so great....

Don't get MrDemons comments. If all you're worried about is which GT3 is "best" for £100k, get a base spec 991 which will wipe the floor with any 997.
RS's will continue to command £20-£30k more than non RS GT3s regardless of how much better they are(n't).
