Porsche 924 Turbo Fuel
Discussion
Help Please.
I've recently bought a series 1 Turbo but am unsure what fuel I should be running it on. The 300 mile trip home i used superunleaded and that seemed to be fine. I've been through the vast history on the car and can't find anything to say it's had anything done to the head to make it run on unleaded. The previous owner only bought the car to sell on and never had to put fuel in it and great thanks goes to him as i ran out of petrol 3 miles down the road. As i said earlier she seeems to be fine on super unleaded but I don't want to do any long term damage by running her on the wrong juice. Pleeeeeeeeeeease can someone help

The 931 engine will run on unleaded or superunleaded quite happily, the cylinder head was the first one specifically designed by Porsche to run on unleaded fuel. With the low compression of this engine provided that the ignition is not over advanced it should run well on standard unleaded, but I recommend you use super unleaded until you satisfy yourself that the engine is running perfectly.
