Picking a Panamera
Discussion
Hi
Wonder if anyone has any tips and advice?
Really tempted to get a Panamera, looking at the 4S and the GTS. Never owned a Porsche before so a little beffudled with all the 'must have' options the dealer is throwing at me.
What's good on a Porsche?
Normally I just want to be comfortable, listen to loud music and rip up a little tarmac when the fancy takes me . . .
Many thanks in advance

get the GTS - or a Turbo
4S is good but the other two are a step up
(I had a 4S)
I'd go for PASM & Air suspension too;
sports exhaust
I also like the paddle shift wheel - buttons aren't intuitive
Wheel choice to me is very dependent upon exterior colour - my Yachting blue 4S looked great on 20"RS spiders, but they don't look so good on the black turbo - the two tone diamond cut wheels are best on the blacks
I don't like the wood interior - mines carbon, but that's personal choice again
sport seats are great but $$ - standard in the GTS I think ?
GTS also gets some nice interior tweaks over the other models in the range too - contrast stitching was always a fave off mine
Personally think the Bose sounds fine in the car - if it was my money (and it was..) I wouldn't plump for the Burmeister - but others think differently (my home stereo is Linn - much more my taste)
USB audio interface mandatory

Ignore my ramblings but pictures give an indication - http://fastgerman.com/forum/porsche-panamera-over-...
I've had 3 different specced Panamera's and I would agree with the first response above - definitely add air suspension.
Don't buy a white one if you ever want to be let out of a junction.
A 4S with sports exhaust and air suspension is where my money would go and that can be found for <£45k.
Above that, it has to be a Turbo.
Happy hunting

Obviously it was your experience, but I've not found the size or others attitudes on the road a problem so far in 25k miles.I've had 3 different specced Panamera's and I would agree with the first response above - definitely add air suspension.

I've had two Panameras, and this would be my "must haves":
New Turbo wheel
LED/PDLS a must in my opinion
LED interior light package
Power steering "plus" (or whatever it is called in the UK)
Air suspension as already mentioned
Porsche Car Connect
Sports exhaust
Don't know about the UK, but in Germany there are ridiculus bargains to be had, especially for Turbos

totally agree with the multi story car park problem !
I don't go near them...
Too big ?
well, yes it is a large car, but I actually find it easy to place on the road - you seem to know where all the corners are quite easily !
The 4S is great car - there are lots out there, with many spec choices, but when buying new the cost of the options soon mounts up;
My turbo depreciated about 35K in 10 months - thankfully - as I was the second owner
I did a track day in mine not so long ago - quite shocked as to how quick it actually was
easily the fastest on the track (not just in a straight line, lap times too )
I can't think of a better around car to be honest;
I can't even call it thirsty really;
300 miles yesterday, covered in approx 4 hrs, ave mpg of 27 !
