Does anyone know where I can 'have a go' in a 991 GT3?

Would really love to drive one to see what all the fuss is about.

Wow! Those prices are a little eye-watering.

What I meant by my original post was is there any experience day or red letter day anyone knows of that offer a drive in a 991 GT3?

I didn't mean a go in a PH'ers car biggrin

Hi Kul,

As somebody I like and trust I would be more than happy to let you have a go in my GT3 when it arrives. Problem is though remember what happened the last time I let someone have a go in my car!!! Maybe not then.

We all missed you at the PN 'do' last weekend though.

Bit off topic, but what the hell. What tyres are you running currently on your GT3 as I saw three new 991 GT3's all the with MPSC tyres at dick lovetts Swindon recently. Is this an indication that they are a little more moisture friendly, because that's what i'm hearing. Need a new set for mine soon and its either the SS or cups but as I do use the car all year round mostly road, was going for the SS. So wondered if you had any experience.

Missed you guys too! Say hi to Jo for me smile

I may be wrong here but I think the new 991GT3 runs MPSC 2's which are different to the cups you run on yours.

For me its Super Sports all the way Andy! Having said that though, the only experience I have of MPSC are in the wet on the M4 when the car aquaplaned and tried to swap ends! yikes

As you know, my GT3 is used 99% on the road and on varying surfaces in varying conditions and I have never had an issue with the Super Sports. They are massively confidence inspiring.

If I were you I would take off the cups and store them for track days (depending on how much rubber is left on them) and go out and buy a set of Super Sports for year-round usage.

the other me said:
It covers one of the courses available, but not vehicle hire. The course prices are provided on the price list Pope provided, but the Precision, Performance courses etc are priced assuming you use your own car, so hire costs are on top of the quoted prices.
