Hi
A friend of mine has been left a Porsche 928 registered in 1997 - all I have on it just now is it needs a little work, has no tax/MOT. I've asked for some more info but she has asked the value for it....I've said it could be 5 or 25k because I don't know anything about it.
Anybody know a rough value? Best way to do it stick the VRM into an online valuation?
Cheers

It is a 928 S4 auto - red with cream leather interior mileage 90k.
She's in charge of her fathers estate and this is a small part of it - he was a bit of a car geek - loved his cars owned Aston's, RR and had this for fun I'm guessing. It has a FSH and folder full of receipts. It starts and is on an Irish Plate. She has a lot on dealing with her fathers estate and just wants rid of this. Work wise she has no idea how much work is req'd.
ANy thoughts on rough value appreciated. If interested drop me a line.

So it's probably a 1987, rather than 1997.There's quite a spread on the asking prices of 928 S4's for sale in the PH classifieds (see below), so it may depend on how quickly you want it sold. I'd probably price it between £10-12k depending on condition, originality and history.
1988 S4 (Auto) Silver, Blue, 41k miles up for £16,750
1988 S4 (Auto) Black, Havannah, 77k miles up for £14,995
1988 S4 (Auto) Silver, Cream, 110k miles up for £9,995
1992 S4 (Auto) Red, Cream, 88k miles up for £8,995
1987 S4 (Auto) Grey, Tweed, 93k miles up for £6,500 (Guernsey)
Well, 1K at best, maybe 2k?
If you guys have no idea why not keep quiet?
You know, its not against the law not to add a comment to every Porsche thread under the sun.
OP, get it washed and get some photos up including the interior.
State the work done, anything of note on any receipts.
Moving it on at a much higher number will not be a problem especially as it runs.
You would get crushed in the stampede at the valuations given here. Jeez . . . . . .
