Its wierd isn't it - how times change perspectives...

The 964 I a few years back had been 'lightly RS'd' (i.e. Lowered, Cup Alloys, Nostrils) though - & i think this is the cruicial bit - not badged 'RS'

Paul Stephens retro RS's, Singers & Autofarm back dates look (in my opinion) fabulous.....

but on a 996 it looks 'wrong'

will 'time be a healer' on these?

Its so funny if a GT3 with that exact styling was to leave the factory there would probably be a queue for it. Doesn't look all that different to a 997 GT3 apart from the 996 aerokit front and rear and 997 gen 2 turbo wheels.

Strange - this is the second such abortion I have seen in two days!! There is another example in a local dealer, same 997n front on 996 rear - but based on a cabrio with a hard top. Bloody awful.

The shame here is that the 996 in all its guises is one of the best sports cars Porsche ever made.

But what I just cant get my head around is why? Someone has thrown a good 10k at that to make that abomination. They could have just bought a nice car in the first place.

Its now pretty much unsellable.

Rather £10k at that than throwing the same amount at a real GT3 for the obligatory refresh....

I think it's due to the owner making a 996 look like a 997. An aero kitted 996 looks great
