Has anybody come up with a reliable way to deactivate the passenger airbag in an early boxster/c2?

I want to take my child with me but dont want to have to buy a porsche seat with the bar/buckle appendage. I need the airbag on when i have adults so dont want to turn it off completely.

Do i just have to suck it up and do what porsche want me to, or is there a trustworthy after market alternative?

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Design 911 website said: For 987 Boxster and 997 you should not need this item as the air bag can be tuned off via a key slot.

My 997 doesn't have a 'key slot' to disable the passenger airbag! confused
