Epic. Having said that, I sold mine after 6 months and have a GT3 coming. Didn't really bond with it as it was a bit bland which is probably a bit hard to believe for a car that capable but in summary, they are:
1. Bonkers fast in a straight line and go round corners like nothing on earth.
2. Fully loaded with every bit of kit you could think of and some have options that you wouldn't even consider but are nice to have like active cruise and burmester.
3. Too fast for paddle shifting and you will find yourself leaving it in auto and back off the throttle about halfway through the irresistible rush to the horizon in second gear.
4. A bit dull sounding in that they have a muted roar and whoosh to them as opposed to any kind of growl you get from a normally aspirated car.
5. Ultimately a bit too capable (IMHO) and once you get used to the massive shove in the back they give you at any speed in any gear, you might find yourself looking for that missing something in another car.
Personally, the only reason I would want one over a Gt3 would be if I really really had to have back seats and that's about it.

Now into 14 months on mine, there is no better daily driver on the planet imv, on real roads no car is faster. Not as exciting as the GT3 I agree, but as DD the Turbo has no equal
Hi APOLO1 can I ask if you ever bought that 996 RS you were looking at? tksPorsche were kind enough to lend me one for a few days and it was rapid. Fabulous car and can thoroughly recommend one if you want the quickest a-b car out there. Didn't buy as its too expensive IMO but money no object its probably the best useable sports GT car on the market. Did I mention how fast it is? It also has S class levels of comfort.
