All Porsche going Turbo?

Hi guys,

Ive recently heard that Porsche are going to cut down the engine size in all models, but fit a turbocharger to bring the power back whilst maintaining emission standards.

Question is, where would this leave the turbo?

Think you will find all original six cylinder models values will go up. Aircool values are soring water Coll will probably go the same way .

I think all of the Macans are turbo, yet they still have a "turbo" model.

I can understand the Macans etc, which are all turbo diesels, with the 'turbo' model being apart because its petrol turbo...

But all petrol 911's going turbo, leaving the flagship petrol turbo no different really than what would be the new turbo 4s??

Certainly makes you think...! I can see original Turbo prices rocketing upwards if they go ahead with the plans.

The Macan S is a twin turbo petrol...

Within a couple of years once the 992 and 982 are with us I reckon they will all have turbocharged smaller engines, the Box could have a flat 4 turbo. These will not be badged as turbos.

They will be probably still have a 911 TURBO model with 2 turbos and 500+ bhp.

We can then all look back on the "good ol days" before turbos.

Who knows? 996s might even become collectors items as people look on them with rose tinted spectacles?

I missed out on the 964 explosion, I missed out on the 993 explosion, I think I might just pop out and buy a few to put in storage for a while

Yep, I have a petrol Macan S and it has twin turbos but isn't called a turbo. It goes pretty fast though
