Hi - been away from the Porsche fold for a while now but I was driving past a local second hand showroom today and saw one for sale.
2008 white 997 Carrera S with turbo wheels. I thought the price was £36k but once I got into the showroom it was a fiver under £40k!
It looked clean enough with good tyres and wheels had been refurbished. No electrics so could not pop front and back covers.
Got to look at the service record and was very surprised indeed to only see two Porsche dealer service stamps on it the rest being stamped by a local dealership. Not a specialist just a standard dealership. TBH this put me off to a great extend but I did ask what the would accept for no p/x and cash. Told they would knock off just under a grand!
Would anyone buy at that price (which having looked on the web is at the very top end) with hardly any Porsche Service Stamps?

Gen 1 or 2 as have seen a few gen 2 2008 cars?

If Gen 1, that seems quite strong without a fully stamped Porsche history - it's still a new car.

For gen 2, that's a pretty good price. Have a health check prior and service carried out by a specialist post purchase if you aren't sure on the history.

Compare against Porsche Approved Used and specialists like 911 Virgin, RPM, Autofarm, Cridfords, JZM etc

Would have to be Gen II for me at that money even if the service history was ok.
