Boxster 986 key reprogramming DEALER ONLY
Discussion
My key started playing up, the leds on the fob flashed just fine, but it did not open the doors, i tried re-syncing it but still nothing. Thought i would try the spare that worked just fine when i stashed it in the kitchen draw, but now the leds on that flash slow (1 a second) and that doesnt work either. Whilst buggering about with the first key i have managed to break that as it also now flashes slow. So i guess i need new keys, is this OPC only or does anyone know any specialist that can do the job?
Or maybe a tip on how to get out of this annoying pickle?
Thanks

Flashing slowly, try fitting a battery in the spare. Flashing fast with no response from car is a faulty key. 986 have a rolling remote code so there is no reprogram or resync as the code changes each time the remotes pressed and if it's lost the primary code the alarm won't pick up the signal. You will need ipas codes to code on keys and these are held by opc. They aren't allowed to give these out.
