I've seen this guy before, always comes across very humble. Have you seen his garage build?

yeah its lovely. the early movie about his car and garage is quite excellent.
this one though was quite special i thought.

i met him once at willow springs and he was as nice as guy as he comes across in the videos.

Just lovely. I find this Man, his approach and his passion quite inspiring. I respect that he is largely managing this project alone.

Agreed 100%. His capacity to engage with others in order to improve himself and his car is truly wonderful and a model for all. Every day is a school day and he really takes this to heart. That he takes it all on himself is something that adds that special dimension imho.
His capacity to engage others in listening to his story is also quite special.

He has worked very hard on the car. Lots of thought has went into suspension and chassis on top of his methodical approach to himself and his driving.

Heres a quote from Jack from a post back in 2006 about Willow Springs and going fast.
"For all its high speeds, Willow Springs is not a horsepower track. It has no 5th-to-2nd gear turns -- in fact it has no 2nd gear turns at all. Suspension and weight are the keys to getting fast on that track. And, of course, driving skill, good suspension tuning and all of that. Horsepower can help once everything else is maxed out (between 1:25 and the high teens, it's going to take a lot of power or a lot of weight loss, I'd guess)"

Edit to add: FWIW, I know James Sofronas did a 1.19 in a 3.6 WC GT3 Cup and a 1.18 in an RSR on that track as an alternate data point. But to listen to the story and come away thinking about the lap time in absolute terms is to miss the point imho.

Thanks very interesting. I guess its not about ultimate lap times but enjoying the process of meeting your own personal goals and pushing your own limits. I would love to crack sub fifty seconds on my fireblade round Brands Hatch. Its not a particularly quick time compared to the best amateur racers but for my level and kit its pretty quick!
