bedding in performance brake pads

Can anyone assist me as I have a friend who has just fitted a set of Carbon Lorraine pads to his 996 & asked me for my thoughts on the bedding in process & there seems to be conflicting internet advice on this whilst driving on the public roads. Thanks

Is he changing the pads too? The only process I know of is to do a number of hard stops from high speed to almost stationary without triggering the ABS. Creates a nice transfer layer.

Tell him to read the instructions from the manufacturer.
