I have a problem with my fob...it flattens the battery in less than a week. I don't think any buttons are stuck down as there aren't any lights on or similar.

Before I get the KY jelly out and assume the position over the OPC parts counter for a new key, has anyone had any experience of this and been able to get it repaired?

Thanks

Funnily enough one of my 996 keys has just started doing the exact same thing.
I'd be interested to hear if you find the issue before I just succumb and replace it.

Its going to be a fault with the key head if it goes flat this quick as its primarily a transmitter , not the cheapest of fixes though frown

Haven't done anything with it yet. Even with a new battery it now won't open the doors or cancel the alarm even though the little red transmitter light is flashing when I press the button. Just using the spare key for now, which works fine. Will get a new key in the new year.

Cheers for the update. As it goes I went to my OPC today and got a new one. Not being able to get into my car because the conventional door lock had frozen solid was becoming an irritation!
