Great windscreen wiper upgrade , highly recommended

A cheap yet amazing modification .
Anyone with an air cooled Porsche knows that when it rains ( especially in the dark ) you are rendered virtually blind .
No longer , I have been using the Bosch Twin Blade wiper upgrade for a few days now and they are absolutely brilliant . On the 964 they are as good as any modern cars wiper system .
They seem to have a heavier join bit and a very smooth blade , even with a few drops of water on the screen you get a great , complete wipe . Somehow even with the larger heavier join bit they are quieter at speed too .

Highly recommended for all air cooled cars in this weather

I've seen other positive reviews for the Bosch Twin Blades, but never understood why, if they are so good, and bearing in mind Porsche's relationship with Bosch, they aren't OE (original equipment)?

+1 They now do them for all Porsches. I have a set on the 997 and brilliant. Just Google Bosch Aerotwin. They sit better on the screen when not being use too.

I've been using aero flat blades for a while but not Bosch, maybe valeo iirc. Cheap as chips on ebay and they work superbly well.

I was just about to get some new blades for my 997 this morning, and then I saw this thread!

These Bosch ones sound great. It seems like I need two different lengths for the 997? See here: http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/porsche-911-years-200...

Will get out and measure what's currently on the car when I get out of the house later, but had assumed that what's on there now is of equal length though.

They are great on the 964 , unfortunately I have no experience of them on more modern vehicles but Itherrs no reason for them not to be as good

I'm testing the 9excellence hid upgrade from tomorrow , will report back too .
Took a car to 2 not stations and it's deemed ok so very interested . Must be better than the 3 fire flies Porsche put behind the glass

G'day, read this & have now spent a fortnight (chrissy/summer hols here)trying to organise a set for my 993.Finally had a convoluted email conversation with Bosch Australia ( they cover NZ too). AR18U + AR16U are not available anywhere in Australasia. Frustrated / pissed off. They only have part # BBA16/18, which is upside down! lol

Blib, that site doesn't appear to freight to NZ, other sellers on ebay charge nearly as much to post as the blades cost.
