New Porsche, should you go for a professional detail or deal

With a new Porsche should you get it professionally detailed before it leaves the showroom or is the paint treament offered FOC by the dealer adequate. ( it's called Autoshine or Lifeshine ).

I don't highly value any of the prep work done at the OPC. I'd pay someone else to do the work in preference.

Yes defo get it detailed externally by a reputable detailer. OPC are pants at this generally. I do not even let them wash my car.

Lifeshine/Diamond Brite/Supagard ect... Can be had for around £50 on eBay!

And ask any detailer, they will remove the above before starting work on your car....

I'd take it to a specialist especially vs the £300-500 option some of the OPC try to offer.
I took mine to KDS Detailing in Gillingham for a G-Technic Crystal serum protection job.

Brilliant. Just awaiting the pics to be provided to me so that I can share them.

just get the dealership to do the bare minimum.

I think the OPC price for this is £699 which is a joke I took it on a new Macan recently but only because I knew it wouldn't be a keeper and they wanted it if they were likely to buy back - which they did recently for a nice £2k premium

However my Carmine Red Cayenne GTS which is due to arrive next week is going to get a proper Detailer treatment - which will be done a week after I collect the car as he's busy at Autosport - not having any armourfend fitted - so happy to drive for a week then give it to him to sort out.
