New tyres all round...
Discussion
Hello all.. I'm hoping someone will be up as I need to make a decision about getting new Michelin pilot sport n2 tyres or Pirelli p-zero corsa tyres or maybe even goodyears (n rated required)....any recommendations for best grip in dry/wet and wear? The OPC is expecting a decision tomorrow...
Going on a 997 cs2... I have Carrera sport 2 wheels
Thanks!!

If you have to have n-rating then I'd go for the Michelin Pilot Sport 2's.Going on a 997 cs2... I have Carrera sport 2 wheels

+1 Great tyres, upgraded from the N2's, ignore the N Rated rubbish...
??The Pilot Sport 2's ARE N-rated.
Purchased and fitted through Blackcircles, cheapest around + Clubcard points!

Ooops, I actually fitted Michelin Pilot Super Sport, to my knowledge these are still not N Rated.

Did you go from PS/2s? If so, how did you find the change? Having just refused to renew the OPC warranty for well-documented reasons, I'll be looking to put PSS' on in the Spring, when I switch back from the winters.Purchased and fitted through Blackcircles, cheapest around + Clubcard points!

Indeed - there are a small number of sizes in the Supersports that are N-rated (Carrera GT sizes), but the vast majority are not, which is hugely frustrating for Porsche owners as these are by far the best tyres around (excluding special tyres like the Cup 2's).Purchased and fitted through Blackcircles, cheapest around + Clubcard points!

How did I find the change? Well if you enjoy more grip in both the wet and dry and reduced road noise then I'd go for it - the main thing is they are a noticeable upgrade from the PS2's.I've used these throughout the winter so far and would see minimal benefit in having 2 sets of tyres - Obviously I apply a level of caution when driving in the winter months.

The whole N Rated thing has been done to death on here, but yes you're right a mild descriptive is 'frustrating'.red997 said:
I've just had a full set of Michelin Pilot Supersports fitted to my Panamera Turbo by Cambs OPC
so they are N rated;
I can also categorically state that they are better in all respects that Pzero corsas and Mich PS 2's - all N rated
not much different in cost too
Having had a service at Solihull OPC last year, their main advisory was that MPSS tyres are not N Rated!so they are N rated;
