Afternoon All,

I've got to the point where i need to replace discs and pads all around on my 996 3.4 C2 and was going to go for the standard OEM discs and pads, however given the myriad of options available I wonder if anyone has any better recommendations for fast road daily driving and the odd track day. (are Pagid S or RS pads really worth it?)

As my car is off the road at the moment i'm completely refurbing the calipers and as part of this brake refresh i'm also tempted by fitting Goodridge or Blackdiamond braided hoses for better feel but not sure if there would be much benefit. Again has anyone had any experience with these parts and would recommend them before i take the plunge?

You will probably end up more confused than you are at the moment with the differing opinions you will receive.

As a starting point, I use my CS mainly for the road but do about two trackdays a year in it. I have changed the discs and pads to pagid OE spec, and really only because the originals needed doing ayway. I have also fitted Goodrich brake hoses and changed the brake fluid to Motul 600.

With this set up I've not had any issues with brake fade or overheating, and that includes ten laps of Silverstone GP circuit at around 9/10ths.
