Cayenne coolant pipes?

Looking at getting another cayenne after selling my 05 MY one last year.

Are the coolant pipes an issue on the mk2 cars with the 4.8 V8 or were they all fitted with the alloy version?

I have a 2008 4.8 and it has alloy pipes.

My 07 4.8 had a pipe replaces by OPC when they did the starter recently, I also thought 4.8 didn't have a problem, perhaps pipe was damaged as it was dismantled?

Still toying with the idea of an 06 turbo S.

Not sure it's a better option than the 05 turbo I sold though, larger Porsche only two piece front disc set and higher road tax for an extra 72hp plus higher purchase price.

I'm amazed at some of the cars available that they have really patchy service records, circa 100k car with missing services and brake fluid changes, there on a 20k interval anyhow so are running a fair distance before being looked on schedule anyhow.
