Supermarket ding

Hi everyone,
i have just received a dreaded supermarket ding on the rear arch on my 997 turbo.It is about as minor as a ding can be,with an extremely slight dent and one layer of paint removed.
As the car already have an extremely light graze (so light it can only be seen when the car is freshly washed) on the same side front arch (looks like someone brushed it carrying a bag rather than a car scraping it) i decided to ask OPC to sort out both
marks.
OPC have told me i need the front and rear wing completely resprayed and that they recommend doing the door too so the colours match (GT Silver).
Obviously that is an expensive option but i am more worried about such a big repair taking windows etc out) for two such small marks.
My instinct is i would be better off getting the marks sorted out without a full respray,but the question is- where?
I am in West London-can anyone recommend or advise please?

I would be reluctant to get the whole side of the car repainted. Give the guys of Topaz a call they work with body shop and also pointless dent removers and maybe they can advise on cheaper and more effective solution.
On my m3 I had 4 big dings on the rear arch. All the way to the ridge line in the body work. Dealer said to replace the hole panel altogether as impossible to remove the ding. Asked I think 2k. Found a pAintless dent remover. 150 gbp . Sorted, impossible to see where the dings had been.

Agree with rosino sounds very minor damage I have a regular guy locally to do minor stuff as you describe, and if too big, a dent specialist will usually charge approx. £70 a panel

I call BS on the colour match point...
My RS60 is GT Silver and SL Restoration did a perfect colour match after they resprayed the bumper. Obviously I did it via OPC Mid Sussex who use SL as their approved repairer and so I get the Porsche lifetime guarantee certificate.
Auto Audio in Park Royal are great too and do resprays and restorations. You could pop in on a Saturday morning and show your car to Greg who will take care of you. OPC West London use them for many things.

It's hard to say without photos but I'd suggest first getting the dent removed as suggested, then get a good detailer to look at it. It's possible to use a touch up stick to paint the small ding where it's chipped off, and if this is then allowed to harden properly (next day) once properly flatted down and buffed it'll hardly be noticeable afterwards. Buffing will probably massively improve the other scrape too. You may decide you want to spend a little more to have the whole car machine polished/buffed whilst you're at it so it's super shiny all over.
Don't be mugged into thinking the only way to get your car back to mint is paintwork. OPC's get there stock damaged from time to time. It's common for someone to open a door putting a wee ding into a panel. They do not go straight to paint. They use a dent man. I know who my Opc use and I can vouch that he is excellent. Took four or five small dents out of my Boxsters bonnet after it was forced onto luggage and took a nasty dent out of my 993 caused by ignorant parking. PM me if you need details.

I would like to thank all the contributors to this thread for their advice.
I explained to OPC that i understood their quote was to put the car back to 100% perfection,which is of course
the only standard they would advise.
But i also explained that on resale i was concerned that painting half the car would devalue it as it would look like i was perhaps
trying to hide something far more significant than two tiny car park dings in the wheel arches.
I also explained that i felt windows and trim out could possibly have a more negative effect on the car than a 'less than perfect' dent master type repair to the dings.
OPC understood my points exactly and explained that although they would only ever suggest a repair they thought would be absolutely perfect they were prepared to compromise on instruction from me.
They assigned their 'dent master' to the two dings and i would say the repair on one was 100% perfect and the second was 90% perfect.If an experienced person was shown the exact site of the repair and looked at it analytically it can just about be seen but you really have to spend a few moments looking.
The bill was less than £200
