European track days - particularly Monza / Mugello / Imola
Discussion
I've done a few north european circuits over the years, especially Spa and Ring. Looking to go a bit further this year and Monza etc circuits are very appealing...
Even with lots of searching and googling i'm struggling to find many companies offering days there, what sites do people use to find track days there?
Pistenclub has some days there but i've not found anywhere else yet

hadn't spotted those ones on BaT, must have updated since i last looked! both those trips look good, have you driven those circuits before?
i did find a site that was a bit like trackdays.co.uk but covered european circuits, will post a link if I can find it again

You still got the black 996 GT3 from JZM? Did look great that car.

Seems to be quite a good list. Not sure if it is the one you had in mind.

I'm lucky enough to have done most of the blue ribbon circuits (Monza / Mugello / Brno / Jerez and alike) my advice if you cant find an organiser is go direct. Most of the circuits run 'open days' where you can just rock up without booking and can pay per session - http://www.monzanet.it/en Monza's 2015 listing of these day's isn't up yet but keep checking...
If you are in to this sort of thing then it is a must do. UK circuits are 'great' where as Italian circuits are EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's awful... How many cars do they let out on track?!? 100?? What an awful trackday, would just pack up and leave.
That's why I enjoyed my days with the Boys and Girls of lotus on track so much. Everybody is so well behaved and polite. When they switched one year one of my Spa days with one organised by a Belgian Lotus dealer it was just complete opposite. Evora's with slick tires and massive downforce overtaking you left right, centre. Bend or nor. People racing each other and taking you on the inside only to then continue straight as they had too much speed.. Horror.
This seems much more enjoyable. 2 similarly fast cars, taking it within their limits.

Agree have to be careful. Not sure I would want my GT3 to battle with a Fiat Uno Turbo that will suddenly feel very competitive towards the smurfy blue 911 with a big wing at the back.

Hmm, not as bad as I thought it'd be, but I can certainly see how it would be intimidating for the less experienced drivers, and consequently less safe for everyone. That aside, whatever track day you do please WEAR A HELMET!!!!!
I can't believe they weren't mandatory actually.

I remember watching the film grand prix with james garner and which has a range of cameo appearances of drivers at the time including graham hill. It seems that the film includes real scenes from racing on the banking at monza and it was unbelievably impressive. I would love to visit the banking to see what it was like especially as i read some time ago the banking is decaying now and won't last forever. I remember looking into doing a track day there but don't remember finding any companies, only sessions run by the track itself.

I went to Monza in 2013, the banking is in much better condition than I expected, it's obvious they do invest some time and money preserving it kbooker said:
