Coil pack caused fire

Hello. Has anyone heard of problems with coil packs in the Cayenne? Iv replaced mine four times in six years due to them failing - last time one melted down but this time one was so badly damaged it started a fire so as you can imagine I'm a bit worried with fitting a fifth set!!

Didn't have any problems in mine, there have been many revisions to the part number for these though so I'd check that you have the latest version fitted.

Sounds like an electrical problem somewhere, have heard of coil packs going down every so often on a Cayenne, but certainly not once a year! Are you using OPC parts or genuine Porsche parts?
