Hi,

Have a CDR-22 in my car.

Speakers working perfectly ok when the radio is on, but when I play a CD it's just started to come out of the passenger side speakers only. Tried different CD's and the same issue. Switch back to radio and it's fine again! I'm flummoxed...any ideas?

Id say one channel of your cd has failed.
You could try using the pre amp rca outputs into an amp, and see if it work.
I can't see that resolving it, although you may well be lucky.

Using the pre amp outputs into even a half decent 50+50W amp massively improves the sound quality.

Had the exact same thing in a 350Z some years ago, would fail when cold but always worked after 10-20 mins of use, replaced under Warranty by the dealer.

Not Pork but sounds familiar.

Interesting....so you reckon it's kaput? Wanted to keep the original head unit in the car. frown

Was that a Becker head unit too?

Get a good car radio repairer to look at it.
May just be a dry joint, or broken cable.
Id look around for another, there's plenty better out there.
Bluetooth etc etc.
