Cayenne 20072010 - any owner experieces?

Morning all,
Am thinking of one of these in the near future and was hoping for some owner feedback, in terms of day to day running, any big costs to be aware of, issues etc.
One of these seems the best for a sporty SUV under 20k. Not too keen on going down the range rover sport route, X5's of the same era are a bit too chunky on first sight, not a fan of the Merc ML and seems like it wouldnt hold its value as well. Also looked at Volvo XC90 sport and this is the only other strong contender.
Would be looking at the Standard V6 or the V8 S.
