Can anyone be good enough to take a close up pic of the headlights / bumper of their 996 turbo, so i can see the gap / space between the headlight and the bumper. I am interested to see if mine has been replaced correctly after having it taken off for cleaning the rads.

thanks!

If it lines up correctly at the wheelarch the bumper is fitted properly. But you could also remove the plastic trim on the slam panel (only a coin or broad bladed screwdriver needed, 90 degree turn only) and check that the screws retaining the bumper up there are secure.

If they are then all is well.

Yes the gap can seem large but you also have the bonnet to align to so if that is right... it's right.

Unless of course there is something wrong with the headlamps which is not very likely as they are either in place or popped out.

Here's a pic of my 03 Turbo on the lot before I bought it (used in 2009).

Have to admit that gap you mentioned jumped out at me one day and I had the car back to the dealer to ask if the bumper was not installed correctly after having the car in earlier for service at which time the bumper cover was removed then reinstalled.

It was installed correctly and as the tech talked to me I calmed down and realized the gap was ok.

They are all like that, sir.

Had the same worry. The gap looks a bit large. It's ok.
