Security bollards

Now my GT3 is worth more than me dead or alive I'm thinking I need a security bollard to minimise the worst happening
Can anyone recommend a good company that supplies and fits

My business has some overlap with physical access control. There are some national companies, but this sort of thing is best served by a local company as I believe the OP would prefer. What about some local golf clubs? They often have them, might be worth a ring-round?

I installed a vigilo 500 in my driveway about 8 years ago its given great service and is a proper deterrent unlike some of the tat in the link above.

My only worry about using golf clubs it that the shafts are probably too thin to act as a barrier. Although some putters do have a more rigid shaft?

Best bang for buck. Have one in my car port and highly recommend. Insurance company accept as locked garage too.

I have one, been fitted 13 years, maintenance free. I can't see it on their website now but I got a cast "cap" which locks over the top and looks nicer, a bit like the bottom right one on their "telescopic" page. It's all black with a gold stripe around the cap (looks traditional as opposed to garish!).

I also have 3 others from a different manufacturer, somewhere in Stockport, pretty similar although the ones I got from them were slightly smaller diameter (and cheaper).

I too have considered bollards but all that means is that the theives have to come into your house for the remote!!! I'd rather they just take the car and my family stay safe. The car is insured.

Remote? I don't think anyone here has linked to an automatic (and very much more expensive) post, so a physical key would be needed. I appreciate that the key could be stolen, in the same way car keys are (hook and cane though the letterbox), but with the post there in the first place I think there's an exceptionally good chance a thief would just go try elsewhere instead (despite what films and TV show, criminals don't relish a challenge, they will always go for the easiest possible target).

If they want a flash car they'll be braking into the house for the keys anyway. Get yourself a big dog.

My insurer would charge me less if I parked on the road instead of in a secure, modern garage. I think that's quite common.

We have security galore but gravel driveways and a (small) dog that goes ballistic if anyone comes anywhere near the house (we're well away from other houses) are by far the best security. She wouldn't scare anyone in the flesh but she's a great proximity alarm.

They were fast,efficient and tidy.It took one man 2.5hrs to install the pair of them.

mine too : apparently lots of big modern cars getting into expensive scrapes as they squeeze into small garages !
