Anybody know of where I can get 2 Porsche 911 2.2 engines from in the UK and how much I will be looking at paying each for them?

Are you looking at that 917 replica by chance? if so the guys in Aus who build them went down the engin grafting route so may be worth an early morning call.

I am looking in to getting their rolling package (minus engine and transmission) as I think it may be more cost effective to source the parts and get the work done in the UK. Lookng to do it sometime possibly in the next 18 months (I think....)

How much did you pay for the 2 engines out of interest?

A 917 - wow! Sounds like you want to do a decent job if you're looking at real porsche engines for it.

There was a recent one (replica) in a magazine that used a single flat 6. Bear in mind that the original (917) started off life with about 850hp, so you might want to consider the bigger and stronger 3.2 carrera engines, although I think you'd need a custom crank
made up (and maybe a custom crankcase) to ensure it works as one engine and stays in one piece.

At the end of the day, with the right contacts, it might be possible to replicate the flat 12, it will be an awesome machine!

You can buy a new one from Kraftwerkz in Australia with flat 6 engine and transmission for £62,000 so I think the price tag for a second hand car which is also unregistered is a bit steep at £150,000. It doesn;t even have the flat 12 engine which you can get from kraftwerkz (for a large price of course).
