My Mum and Dad have recently joined the Porsche Club of GB (xmas pressie by me
).
In this they Recieved the Porsche Post magazine of which I have borrowed to see how the enemy does it
Must say it looks an excellent magazine and a well surported club( must be common as much
sorry ).
Joking aside, only just started reading it but its got some good stuff in and I especially like the cover pic.
How many PHers are a memeber ot this club?

It is a cracking magazine, much better than the usual occasional sheet of A4 from a lot of car clubs. Mazda Rotary Club is a good one, nice but infrequent magazine.

Been a member for 8 years - the magazine is a good quality production, though it does contain a lot of stuff that's only relevant to small sections of its readership. I tend to read only the register report and that of my local area. However, there is sometimes a useful general story and the racing details are often worth a look. The classifieds are one of the strengths of the mag, and it does provide members with a host of possible contacts when needed.
very professional production. in particular the classifieds section is pretty much mandatory for anyone considering an older porsche. the generous selection of parts suppliers and specialist garages is enough to keep even that 928 that Clarkson bought on the road. Selection of insurers is also excellent. Oh and the classified ads for PCGB members selling their garage queens is good for a laugh. "much cherished club member car, new tyres 3 years ago, therefore advertised at £4k above market value"

Don't forget the best bit, as a member you get a 10% discount at your local OPC. Which generally more than pays the membership fee over the year.

Yep - I'm a member of the PCGB. Good mag.
Don't care about the events particularly - although if the national one is nearby I go to it...
I do, however, go to as many of the Track Days as I can. Very nice Club atmosphere (like you'd expect), excellent organisation, reasonably polite driving, other people who want to take their P&J home in one piece too...lots of fun, interesting people to char with over lunch.
Sometimes the PCGB PHers go along and that's fine fun too. I hope we get together at one of the Track Days again this year...
