997S Gen2 Daily Driver

Want to get back into 911 ownership after getting rid of Gen1 a couple of years back.
Will go for Gen2 to avoid well known engine issues and to get the updated PCM etc
Any must haves spec wise.
Havent tried a PDK car but it looks popular so may well go for it as a daily driver-what else?
The standard steering wheel looks a bit cheap-have many upgraded to sports wheel and paddles after the event?

Apart form the main ones you've already mentioned and are aware of, not that much has changed spec-wise since your 7.1C2S.
If it's to be a DD I'd recommend PDK and yes - look out for proper paddle shift steering wheel if you can. I've only just swapped out my multi-function and it's so much better. Unless you've particularly short arms, nothing on the PCM is too far to reach anyway.
I think the general PH consensus is that PSE on a Gen2 is nice to have but not essential unless changing other exhaust system components, but is OPC warranty important to you?
I think all the others have been around since Gen1: heated seats, (seat cooling as Gen2 only), electric seats, memory seats, sport, sport plus.

PDK - Just amazing
If you are going for PDK it must have Sports chrono, if not its not such a issue.
I like the 18 way seats.
PSE is a must for me
PASM is standard on the S but if I had a non S I would want it.
Bose, or you will never be able to sell it on.
Nav and bluetooth same as above.

I have a 997.2 C2 (3.6). It is a PDK and has just about every option except sunroof and carbon brakes.
Almost the perfect daily driver and low bracket is a nice positive (but I fully accept it shouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things!). For me, plenty powerful (feels just as quick as my previous 997.1 C2S).

I like the sports seats - v comfortable, and good lateral support.
