GT Supply Issues

How many people are now done with Porsche after supply issues of GT3, GT3 RS and GT4?
Do you except it and say it is what it is
Or
Has is damaged the view you have of Porsche and driven you to other brands?
I know they monitor social media and blogs so hopefully we can save them sometime in figuring out what there customer base really feels!
In the world of analytics more attention will be paid to views on line than letters of complaint!!!
I will start by saying I don't know what to think and as an owner of 991 GT3 CS, I am not sure I want it anymore as it should be a depreciating asset driven like i stole it on a daily basis and its far from that. The recent actions of Porsche actually put me off the car (I know that sounds odd)
Its made me think what I want from a car (used to be easy it was any version of a GT3), I have imported a 1980 SC (hot rod Urban Outlaw style) I am looking forward to this more than anything else.
I am led to believe owning a Porsche GT car of any type had more to do with the driving experience (has always been epic) and a lot to do with the integrity and purity of the company. Clearly that to me is an important part of the ownership. Also the fact it has no social position, you wanted one, you got one and most people had no idea what it was (a 911 with a silly wing). I really liked that.
I guess that why it takes a long time to guid a brand and only a moment to ruin it
I am really intrigued to see if I continue to support new Porsche GT cars are just ignore them. One thing for sure my wife's XC60 replacement will no longer be a Macan or Cayenne.
This could be also be the realisation I have just reached middle age!!!!!

Hi Marcus! I have just found some lager hidden in the washing machine. What are you on about? Porsche's marketing is brilliant; it is all about selling new vehicles. You have your 991 GT3 so have I 1 We are very lucky! If you want a 918, Macan Turbo, and a GT4 you will have to be patient! What other new car would you aspire to owning. At least if you sell your GT3 you will make a profit! Happy Friday 
I think the reality is that we have all been through a huge recession over the last 10years and memories are really short term! Boom and bust is the way of the world in what is what appears to be a 20yr cycle.
The GT allocation is what it is and is, and largely what it has always been in the long term. The recent recession has distorted the availability of GT cars over the last few years, thus GT cars have been somewhat more available for us mere mortals than they really would be in a stable world order!
Suddenly the economy in the UK looks rosy and people look back with emerald eyes on the benefits bestowed to those lucky enough to have secured a 991GT3 in the last 18mths and they want a piece of the action! The profiteering of GT3 slots and resale is fueling in the UK/USA what has very quickly revealed itself as the very corrupt and rather ugly side of capitalism (don't worry I am as right wing as they get). The situation in the rest of Europe is not the same at all largely due to the EURO, and thus an apparent disparity has revealed itself. I think that PAG (perhaps being at the very heart of the EURO) along with the German Gov has misjudged the situation especially the recent Greek election somewhat, but who could have really foreseen this turn of events?
I question the motives of a few of the posters on here. Let's imagine a scenario where the supply/economy/whatever was in a different place and time, and you were faced with almost certain depreciation on the purchase of your GT4 despite how good it might be to drive! How many of you would still want a GT4 so badly that you would be willing to email the CEO of PAG worldwide!
If you could not / would not imagine such a situation then quite frankly you are not the GT customer PAG are aiming for right now. Don't cry expecting any mercy from them!
I am just saying that the world is different place to where it has been over the last few years, and in fact we all need to accept that Porsche is once again finding its feet again in the world of order of "the elite". Some of us mortals have touched this space over the last dip cycle, but make no mistake we do not belong here. We are championship players in a premiership world, and as distasteful as it is to swallow this, it is a fact! Suck it up boys and girls and embrace it for what it is and enjoy the good times for what they were whilst they lasted. The genuine elite are back in town and they have multiplied and we are not amongst them. Some of us just "are" and some of us just "are not" - it is Darwinian!

Anyone who wanted a car surely had a letter of intent with their dealer early on? I don't see a problem with Porsche dealers making these halo cars available to those enthusiasts who are prepared to commit early. Presumably these are the same customers who already have a Porsche or two in their garages.

Am I p***** off yep. Got in early, had a slot, then a maybe and now nothing. Have purchased lots of Porsche's recently so just don't understand the allocation

I wanted a gt3 ,didnt get one like many.I dont recall the amount of throwing of toys out of the pram over gt3 that has gone on with this.Am I p***** off yep. Got in early, had a slot, then a maybe and now nothing. Have purchased lots of Porsche's recently so just don't understand the allocation

From the fella that sent a letter explaining how and what he 'expects' to happen when he graces the OPC with his presence on collection, to another couple of serial forum insomniacs with circa 30,000 posts to their names, who are an authority on everything Weissach....yet have no intention of buying said model so snipe at those who have one.
In reality, there's only so much you can discuss that's actually relevant to the car.....the other 90% is at best hypothesising and at worst social and financial posturing.
