Inconsiderate neighbours parking - door scratches!!!!

Really annoyed to discover some long and light scratches alongside the passenger door of my Turbo the other day. Looks very much like someone has squashed passed my car and rubbed against it with jeans or bag or something, really peed off about it, can't prove it was the neighbours but obviously was, as my car was parked up for a week and scratches only appeared once they returned in their scratched up, beaten up old banger..... so annoyed, not much i can do though....

so, what's the best way to get the scratches out? they aren't too deep, any suggestions?

Really annoys me though that people have utterly no respect for someones pride and joy / property. The state of their car is appalling, some crappy Kia, all scratched, dented and rusty, takeaway wrappers strewn all around inside...couldn't believe it when i saw they moved in! So kind of knew something might happen, but don't have another choice of parking...anyway rant os over

Light scratches will machine polish out, deeper ones you can feel with a finger nail may need repainting. To machine polish, either invest time and money in a polisher, pads and polish plus the expertise to do a half decent job safely, or get a competent detailer to do it for you. Just rubbing against paint with a coat or clothes can mark it, especially if the car is dirty.

Thanks, yes theres no lip on them, can can't feel anything with finger nail, so i guess machine Polish will do the trick, possibly wait until summer and then get the car detailed properly!

Get a pro detailer involved. They can indeed work wonders. Get over to the following forum and see who people are using in your area:

A complete covering of PaintShield or similar would presumably do it.

Plenty of people are getting the front ends of their cars done, but I'd always be tempted to do the whole thing because what's the point of having a car without stone chips if the sides are going to be scuffed up by numpties walking about?

I imagine this would be quite expensive, but if I was going to spend out on getting my poverty pork looking great I'd want to keep it that way.

I would use a good detailer to see if that does the job.

Richard at Refined Detail is a real pro,, and a nice genuine guy too. i wouldn't hesitate to use him.

Try Scratch x if there fine untill you can get the machine on it. Always works for me. Handy to keep too.

Can't ark elsewhere i am afraid, spaces are at a premium round here and it's a secure gated car park for the flats, a shame, idiots like my car neighbours have moved in, hopefully they'll sod off soon....

anyway, paint shield sounds good, would rather keep it protected incase this happens again, which is likely...

I think you should mention it to the neighbours, not accuse them of doing it but my them aware its happened and you're not happy with whoever it was, retribution, cutting hand off, etc, etc.

Hopefully next time they maybe a bit more careful

I have Beaky, I did say please could you be careful brushing passed my car as it's my pride and joy etc etc, was quite diplomatic about it, just some people don't give a hoot or are jealous and don't care if it gets damaged!
