I have just been compiling my order specification on the Porsche configurator but it doesn't give a very good image of the different wheel options. After seeing the Geneva show car I have decided to go with Lava orange but not sure whether to go with the silver wheels that were on the show car or spec the black or standard titanium. If anyone else has ordered orange can you let me know which colour wheels you think look best? Car to my spec comes out at £153k which looks great value against my £238k Speciale.

Wouldn't say the show cars wheels were silver, think they're more like anthracite.

I've spec'd Orange with black wheels.

The Geneva car had standard grey wheels from memory. That's what Ive ordered on my orange car.

Satin Black wheels would tie in nicely with the black features on the car, only my opinion of course.

I thought the Geneva show car had standard wheels but apparently they had the silver option according to the spec list?

Silver wheel option on GT3 noticeably different - sometimes almost looks white. Geneva RS had standard wheel colour.

I have emailed Porsche back to check the spec on the show car to ensure they were the standard wheels and not the silver as on the spec sheet. I think it may be a mistake as silver on the configurator do look a lot lighter than the show car.

Orange with standard wheels

Also gone with a black roll cage, I just thought an orange cage just might be too much orange

I'd go with silver wheels personally. I think that the coloured wheels will not age too well.

Good spec, but I wouldn't bother with the aluminium pedals.

No news on my delivery date yet. Porsche said first cars off the production line are LHD to satisfy the German market then RHD production should start end of June with all orders completed before August shutdown. Limited run of special addition may happen Q1 2016 so looks like they could be following same strategy as 997 GT3 RS.

Mine was pushed back from Sept to 2nd week in Oct, but this is a LHD car.

My understanding is that the RS engine will not be Euro 6 compliant after August so all the cars will need to be built by then. I do not believe therefore that there will be a further run of a limited edition special.
