Centre Lock Update - anyone have a copy?

Gents,

Just wondering if anyone has a copy or can direct me to a pdf of the technical update for centre lock wheels? Ideally a Porsche document that shows the application points for the Optimol TA paste?

The reason I'm asking that I believe the advice given by my OPC was incorrect and I'd prefer to have the facts before going back to them. They stated that there was no paste between the point that the nut touches the wheel centre - it's only applied to the threads. I'm 99.99999% certain this is incorrect. I thought the procedure was changed because on some cars during extreme use the two surfaces had mated due to heat?

Anyway, a copy of the fitting update would be helpful - I'm talking about the Porsche technical update, not the extra insert that comes with the manual (which I have).

I don't have the manual, but there is definitely paste on the conical washer/pressure plate that touches the wheel centre.

Yes, exactly what I'd always assumed.

There is a technical bulletin which covers it. Doesn't really give detail in the revision to the owners manual.

The workshop manual states that this procedure is for driving on track but I'm sure it later became the standard for road cars too. Certainly the torque settings.

I'm sure Pope on here could give you the definitive answer. I only really paid attention to the inspection and replacement based on track miles, rather than the lube routine.

The bulletin is a translation which unless you read and reread can catch you out essentially it says:

All contact surfaces of the wheel, wheel hub and brake disc as well as the trapezoidal thread in the wheel hub must be free of abrasion, sand, dust or chips.

Apply some aluminium paste on the trapezoidal thread of the wheel hub.

Apply a thin coating of aluminium paste on the cylindrical part of the wheel hub.
