I bought the one that JZM had advertised last week. I've been looking on and off for a couple of years (in between buying and selling my 911's) and it just floated my boat so I did the deal on the phone (good that I trust the JZM boys so much). Probs going to have a full window out respray in original colour as interior and mechanically are perfect condition. Service history and receipts file very comprehensive. Link below if you want to see it:-)

Might be worth having a look at this sport even if you are deadest on the cs. Lots of work one on it.

Many tks all.

Dave that's a lovely looking example I'd have had that.
JZM I'm also a fan of as I am 9E. As straight up as they come and I'd happily deal with them as I have before. Infact i may place a call with Russ this week and ask him to keep an eye out for me.

Trouble is some 'specialist' have earnt themselves a terrible rep so you tend to be a little guarded if you've been stitched up as happened to me.

At least now I know who to avoid especially in north Essex

Have you driven one? a good one is a very lovely drive.

One thing to remember, they are pretty slow, fantastic predictable handling and proper old school feel, but (especially) for road driving, they struggle in the overtake department and that can be frustrating.

Saying that, though I don't regret it because of what I replaced it with, I've missed mine since the day I sold her. Just make sure she has the race seats and especially the correct race seats, they are very comfortable and hold you fantastically. The ones with comfort seats are really a waste IMO, and you may as well save a load of dosh and go buy a Sport.

Tks Wozy but I'd buy the CS for the rarity factor. This or maybe BMW Csl is the thinking

There was only one type, but they are worth a lot, hence when the CS was cheap a few years back, quite a few owners sold the OEM seats and added comforts (Saying that some CS were sold from new with comforts). However when prices of the CS started to rise they then re-installed them, but not OEM ones as they were either very expensive or no longer available.

It would matter to me they were OEM as I'm OCD on such things, and I'd feel the car wasn't correct without them, but that could be just me. smile

Yeah for me it had to be guards red with original buckets. Those seats connect you to the car and make the driving experience so much better.
Pick it up next Wednesday (well getting it delivered to Donington as there with GT2 / GT3RS for the day so might have my 1st test drive down craner curves!!)
