PCM - Sim Card

Got a new 2015 model car but my sim card will not work in the PCM, however phone will work via BlueTooth

Every car I've had before I could run the phone either via sim card or by Bluetooth, now dealer telling me they wont run off the sim unless you have the handset fitted

Is this correct?

Only works with 2g networks, so O2 and voda I believe

Thanks, its the same sim card as I used in my last car, just in my new car it just doesn't recognise it and the OPC tell me they no longer work without the handset

Mine works in both handset and in sim slot in a my13 991.
Could just be an old SIM card. Get a payg from sainsburies to test it.

Call me dumb but why would you want to use the sim card slot? What's wrong with Bluetooth?
