PCM 3.0 2015 update

Hello gassers,

I just had the update done on my PCM, and was wondering if anybody could tell me what the little drop down menu things are on the map. I can't seem to figure them out, and what else new there is that I can play with.

Was this part of a recent service you had? I need mine updating too on a 997 c2s, Has the update allowed you to put in a full Post Code?

Hi Chris,

Full postcode search (finally) and updated maps. It also has more POIs on the map and a little drop down menu on the map screen but I haven't figured out what those do yet. I didn't have in a service, just took the car in to do the update. Cost £150 at Porsche Guildford a big thumbs up to them.

No mate this is for the newer PCM 3.0 touchscreen sat nav..yours is most likely the 2.1..only the 3.0 can be updated to include 7 digit postcode and all the other bits like drop downs etc.
You will be able to get the latest map updates but that will be all and OPC's will charge you silly amounts for the disc..there is someone on a well known auction site that sells copies of the update discs I believe.

i have a 2010 997.2 c4s with the touch screen nav etc
just purchased the car the other week from porsche swindon - how do i check the version PCM I'm running? should they of done an update for me.....

Update done by OPC when selling, no I think. My Diesel Cayenne 2013 which I bought from an OPC needs an update.

You can quickly check your version - push the INFO button | Options | PCM Settings | Display | Software Version.
