hi everyone

i realise this has been done to death, but cant just find the answer that i need.

had a bit of an issue with the drivers door, the handle "popped" last week, so when i took everything off i found that the black connector for the handle to the mechanism had broken (12 on the lock diagram). have fixed that and door opening fine now, but the car does not seem to realise when the door is closed.

the interior light at bottom of the door stays on and the window wont go back up fully.

any thoughts? microswitches? mechanism?

If window doesn't drop when the door is closed that reads like a door latch switch malfunction.

When you pull on the handle (inside or outside) the window should drop. The handle switch controls that. If you release the handle without opening the door the window should go up. That is the door latch switch.

If you open the door the window should stay down. That is the door latch switch.

Hi, thanks for the reply. The window drops fine, the problem is it won't go back up fully the last 10mm when the door is closed, even with the windows switches. Have tried window reset, and not that. I think it is because the car thinks the door is still open, but I'm not sure.
