Blink and you miss them, am I too late to the party to order a new 911 GT3 RS, 911 GT3, Cayman GT4 and Boxster SPYDER?

If anyone hears of any UK allocation, let me know!!!

Is that a genuine question or have you just returned from a 4 year holiday on a isolated island with no comms;)
No chance on any variant especially so with GT3RS

Didn't think the 981 Spyder numbers were going to be limited.

Yep, genuine question, I expected I would be too late, though did try, but unfortunately didn't have enough history with my OPC's to get on the list!

It was more a request if anyone has to give up their slot or order and therefore knows of a possible way in!

you haven't missed out on the 991 GT3 - there's nearly 50 available on P/H alone and the prices are dropping by the week!

Good argument!

By the way he hasn't missed out on the GT4 or spyder either.. nor GT3 RS as all will be available at launch. Just not at list

Try every dealer in the UK, be upfront and flexible on what you want, I reckon something will be available. There always is.

Worst case you've wasted a couple of hours on the phone!

MD, what's your preference? You can't surely be on every model list with every OPC - big difference in cars and prices.

Only on the list for the GT3RS and GT4; those are my preference and if the opportunity arose, I'd buy them both if it helped secure a slot.

I don't get it, you willing to buy both the GT3 RS and GT4 if that helps get a car/s, but you're only interesting in paying list. why not wait a bit and pay a touch over list for a 'flipped' one ?

And you've got your name down at 22 OPC's, I'd have lost the will to live after speaking to 3.

I don't mean to sound dismissive, but these cars are very sort after and those people lucky to get one at 'list' in todays market (in the UK) tend to be long time GT Porsche buyers.

Fully appreciate that, and you are absolutely right, from conversations I've had, they have been allocated to long term customers buying certain cars, part exchanging etc; however, they always need new blood/customers through the door and I've owned Porsche's in the past, which actually went some way to helping my cause!

I'll buy list price as I want a specific spec (not a bloated spec like so many) and ensure the best chance of an appreciating asset, which I believe both will be.

So, basically, you have just heard about the cars and want to come in at cheapest possible price point and hopefully make some cash? Good luck.

Fairly certain the GT3RS will appreciate but the GT4 although likely is somewhat less clear. Really not sure on your logic of low spec being the best chance of appreciating asset, there will always be customers who only want a full spec, just as there will always be those who want a stripper.

There will still be lots of non-bloated (as you put it) spec cars flipped on day1, so if you are sure they will appreciate it still makes sense to pay a little over the list to get one. At the end of the day you probably missed the boat on a RHD GT3RS by 2yrs probably and a good year or so for a GT4, so paying over is realistically the only way left now.

Unless that is you consider a LHD car - there are GT4's already for sale at list in Europe and its quite possible there will be some GT3RS's also soon. This value over list thing is very much a UK market phenomenon.

I was not a long time Porsche buyer and have never owned/bought a new Porsche !

Luck has nothing to do with it, and new cars will be invite only any way, like the other do.
supporting your local OPC and having your car service and looked after by them helps.

An OPC will not sell you a rare car it will never see again, so pointless to even talk to non local OPC's
