Help 997.2 Cabriolet roof rattles
Discussion
Hi
Just wondered if anyone has had any similar problems to what I'm experiencing with my 2010 C4s Cab and has found a resolution. I've trawled the forums and found others having similar issues but no evidence of a fix.
Since owning the car from Feb I've noticed a rattle coming from the rear quarter window area almost like the window is loose. There's no problem when the roof is down. The car has been back with the OPC who said they have tightened a few bits in the mechanism however, the problem came back a few hours after picking it up. To make matters worse the passenger side has now started.
I wouldn't normally be bothered but now I know it's there I can always hear it.
The OPC apparently fixed the rattle in the instrument cluster too but this has also reappeared making me think they just used a can of silicon spray to fix the problems.

Don't think I'm mad but I had a similar problem with my Mini cabrio and the rattle drove me mad, until I realised the bass from the speaker were causing the rear seat belts to rattle against the trim. It may not be the windows at all. Have a look to see if there are any obvious ratlle causes that might be easily solved. !!!!

My wife's C4s cab has exactly the same problem. Can get it to go away with liberal use of silicone spray around all the joints / seals, but it always comes back.Just wondered if anyone has had any similar problems to what I'm experiencing with my 2010 C4s Cab and has found a resolution.
