I am seeing things. 996 Prices on GT2s
Discussion
I have just seen a 2004 996 GT2 up for £215,000
I almost bought Eric Claptons 996 GT2 for £65,000 5 years ago with 1800 miles - the final "facelift" model with extra power - that price just scares me
Who buys these cars?
And what is happening to the 996 range as the good Turbos and 4S's are creeping up - some even more than the 997 in some cases

It's all gone a bit crazy hasn't it? I almost bought Eric Claptons 996 GT2 for £65,000 5 years ago with 1800 miles - the final "facelift" model with extra power - that price just scares me

My advice is to just enjoy what you have and try and ignore it

Bonkers huh.
I've been told this black 996 GT2 sold yesterday.
http://www.dkeng.co.uk/Vehicle_Archive/66/Porsche_...
Asking price originally was £110,000 then lowered to £105,000.
It was for sale in New Zealand at the start of the year for $95,000 NZD or the equivalent of £40,000 GBP.
I was following it over there but then it disappeared at the beginning of February, resurfaced a few months later with DK.
New Zealand new car with 46,000km (28,000 miles) on the clock.
I wish I had of had the smarts to buy it back home...

Has the editor of evo not just bought one for £90k?
He has Silver 996 GT2 with 26,015 miles on the clock for £89,950 (June 2015)It was an RPM Technik car.
Must of been a significant price reduction for some advertising though. Looking at what other cars with similar and even more miles are selling for.
