Carrera GT Register

Over the last few days I have been making a Carrera GT register - http://www.carreragtregister.co.uk/
I'd be thankful if you all could take a look, give me some feed back and maybe some more info as its quite bare right now,
I'm aware there is one already on the internet with 500 or so photos of chassis's and some details but I will post photos of the cars, front, side and interior, as well as the chassis when possible.
The idea is to have the chassis and photo of EVERY Carrera GT made, so far I've only got the details of the cars that have been sold at auction or dealers which shown the chassis number, I have some vins of cars without the chassis plates and they will be added soon enough.
If you click on the writing on the "Chassis" page, most things have a photo to look at..

You mean it's not immediately obvious why obvious not everyone who owns a car like that would necessarily want all those details with all the information that the DVLA holds plastered all over the public domain.......? It's a WORLD list not a UK list, I'm easily contactable if need be. Wasting your time IMHO. Most CGT owners would not be in favour of it If it were RSRs or other racers then yes as these cars live in the public domain but road car owners want a certain privacy. By wasting your time I mean the that the list if not 100% complete and inclusive would have no value.

I had a think about the point you made, and I've found an answer Think of it this way, if you were going to buy one, a "perfect, never crashed" example, but you found out it had actually been involved in an accident would you be happy you could check the details to see if what the car is, it actually is? I've heard of a few cars imported from the states to the UK that have been in big accidents but once they are fixed, it's not recorded in the UK and looks to be a perfect car...
Another reason of why registries exist is so that enthusiasts can view the different specs of the cars around the world, I have one down as "Rosso Scuderia" and "Carrera White" over the 1279 cars, there will be a whole range of cars, its very well having a photo of a car but without the chassis number that is equal to the car, the WHOLE vin doesn't need to be on the site, just the last 6 digits..
If you can think of a reason why either of those is bad in anyway, let me know.

Well that's an amusing attempt at justification. If anyone was serious about buying a car, would you a) get the vin number from the seller then pick up the phone to Reading and call the relevant people and ask about anything they would know about said car....
or
b) Check on the internet for the cgt register..... ?
Matching the chassis number to colour - fine but to have the number plate and vin number publicly available.... why? If as per above the owner is fine with that, great, but I rather doubt you are actually going to be asking every owner first as well before putting those details up....

Number plates can be edited out of the photos, I have no problems with that and the vins can say private, its about chassis number = a vin which in turns = the spec etc etc
The car's I have with vins on them are all cars that have been sold at various dealers and the info is online, or cars sold at auction.
This in fairness was the greatest problem with the Carrera RS book on the 2.7RS.
All the information required to clone a car or fill in the gaps for original numbers ???
And just because one car of two clones is recorded first, does not make it the original ...
Provenance comes from many different directions, hence a register can be of mixed value and a potential invitation to go forth and ... ?

I see what you are getting at BUT 99.9% of the info of the cars on there are info that I've found from dealers online around the world All the information required to clone a car or fill in the gaps for original numbers ???
