Do people know whether they have ever been sold in the UK ? One of the website I saw said they were sold in the US ? Also are they more or less sought than the regular 993 coupe version ? Thank you

Yes they were sold in the uk (993 cabs) - there might even be a few in the PH classifieds.

Cabs are less desirable than coupes.

Unless you want to take the roof off in which case they are a lot more desirable.
