I assume that you can spec a standard model to be north of £110k fairy easily?

To be fair, a PDK Targa 4S is £99k. I'm not sure if even has a premium on top; when i read the press release it has full extended leather, LED lights, PCCB etc. I'm afraid you can quite easily spunk £30k on options these days.

This is a ridiculous car for people who......actually I dont know.

It celebrates the Targa Florio? But talks about style and is called the Mayfair?

I have no idea what it is. Porsche, pull your pants up.

+1

I had a C4s targa on loan recently- I found it felt heavy and generally not very fast or exciting to drive.
God knows why anyone would purchase this Mayfair car when for considerably less money you could
buy a 991 GTS coupe which is way more exciting to drive.
Porsche should really not get in a habit of making these naff limited editions.......
It would actually look better covered in graffiti and called the Porsche 'Kensal Rise'

I drove 991 Targa back to back with GTS. Only then do you notice , IMHO how much faster, tighter and more urgent GTS FEELS. Really makes 997 feel quite old.

But they will sell very quickly and easy to a certain market.

In 20 years time during a future bubble they will no doubt be worth squillions...

I drove a 997 gen 2 C2S just before jumping into a 991 GTS and I was shocked at how dated the 997 felt-
the 997 is still one hell of a car but there's no doubt major advancement has taken place with the latest models....
