If you're buying from them for immediate export to the UK, VAT will be payable at the invoice price.If the car is new, hasn't left the dealer's ownership and is for immediate export, it may be possible to reclaim the vehicle registration duty (or whatever it's called now) as the tax point for that (I believe) is when the car leaves trade to be bought by an individual or company on the island (I think this was negotiated by th larger hire car fleets so the cars that are shipped in, rented and shipped out are never subject to VRD as it would render the VAT-wash ineffective).

If it's still on Jersey plates, check it with the dvla, it's not unknown for dealers to import a car without paying vat.The cars at a dealer so they have taken care of the tax.......
