Anyone have the final sales results from today's 'Exellence of Porsche' auction?

An eclectic mix of lots and quality. Just academic interest.

I believe that all of the air cooled Porsches were not sold as they didnt even achieve 5 figures.

This is proof that the 'bubble boys' were right all along!

The Carrera GT went for 520k ..........
The very first lot- a Porsche tractor went for 8k+........apparently the normal market rate for such a tractor
is about 5 k or even less- so the bubble has not burst

Is that 520 plus commission?

Yes 520 hammer price, so plus fees on top

Top end still seems to be moving and not surprised a tractor went for 8k, it's a large % jump, but a small sum if somebody decided they have to have one.

Elsewhere air cooled cars seemed to be stalling. We'll have to have a look when the results are published.

As far as I could tell the only cars that sold well were the high quality high end ones. All the rest seemed to struggle and were either unsold or sold below estimate.

Lot 104, a 912 with a 911 engine went for £24k

Lot 105, a restored 911T went for 62k, just shy of estimate.

Lot 106, the 928GT went for 24k

Lot 108, green 911e, unsold

Lot 109, 911s targa, 8k below estimate at 82k

Lot 111, 993 rs fell 12 k short at 138k

Lot 112 911t, unsold

Lot 113, 911sc 26k.....which looked a bargain

Lot 114, 930 flatnose....65k

Lot 115, 356 cabrio, 135k

Lot 121 930 turbo s 125k

Lot 122 911t unsold

Lot 127 911 2.7rs 72k....seemed cheap

Lot 133 2.7 rep 77k...nice car

It wasn't an 'RS', it was a '74 IB Carrera. Nevertheless, nice looking car - http://www.coys.co.uk/auction.php?itemID=6512&... - and, better than an 'RS replica' IMO.

For true prices, the B.P. needs to be added, but this one looked good value.

As is often the case at auction, quite a few cars that may not have sold during the bidding, sell by separate negotiation shortly after.

I presume the trade will have picked up any bargains, so we may see them re-advertised in the near future.

Did I not see one of these recently I nice low mileage UK car in original condition go for £140k +? Might have been at silverstone or goodwood auction

Don't forget Ian's car, although very original and mechanically sound needed a fair bit of bodywork and probably a glass-out re-paint if my memory serves me correctly.

Don't forget Ian's car, although very original and mechanically sound needed a fair bit of bodywork and probably a glass-out re-paint if my memory serves me correctly.

It was rusty. How rusty I don't know, but it could have been 'very'. The price realised would suggest this.

- yep, which actually means that quite a lot of the [seemingly] low hammer prices, were actually within the 'estimate range' once you add up TOTAL costs...
